SignAble Empowers the Deaf
Out of the 18 million deaf people in India, only 4.5 million use Indian Sign Language to communicate. And there are around 350 certified sign language interpreters available in India, making it nearly impossible for them to be able to help the entire deaf community.
At SignAble, we hope to bridge this gap between the deaf and interpreters using our technology. We connect the deaf to interpreters directly, helping them to solve all their daily communication challenges. The availability of an interpreter at any given point in time will ensure the deaf become independent to engage with all aspects of their lives.
With the help of our partners, trainers and enablement programmes, SignAble aims to open up a world of opportunities for the deaf. In time, we want the deaf to use SignAble on a daily basis to connect with their families, commercial services such as banks and shops, and government departments such as police stations and pension offices. Both deaf and hearing people should use the app to communicate easily with one another. Even workplaces can use SignAble to build an inclusive environment for their deaf employees and customers.
With the help of Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) and Video Relay Service (VRS), we are able to provide live interpretation in Indian Sign Language to help the deaf communicate freely. We hope that this ability to communicate easily with anyone, anytime and anywhere only at the touch of one button is going to open up a world of opportunities for the deaf community in India.

We at the Museum of Art & Photography (MAP) have been collaborating with SignAble, for ISL interpretation for our live webinars. Their service in terms of arranging interpreters, punctuality and efficiency, has been great. SignAble has also helped arrange interpreters for some of our physical events, and we are looking forward to collaborating further as we gear up to open our physical museum, wherein we hope to create an accessible museum experience for the hearing impaired.
